Zhenhua Li (1924–2017)
Chief Physician, Former President of Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (now Henan University of Chinese Medicine), Lifetime Professor, and the first National Chinese Medicine Master of New China. With over 70 years of practice, Li specialized in the treatment of warm diseases, spleen and stomach conditions, and complex internal diseases. He was a prominent scholar and educator, and in 1990, he was selected as one of the first national experts in traditional Chinese medicine, receiving government honors. Li Zhenhua served as the chief advisor to Zhonghua Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Medical Center in 2010.
Li was renowned for his expertise in spleen and stomach disorders, and his contributions have significantly enriched traditional Chinese medicine's understanding of these conditions. To carry on his legacy, the Research Studio of Li Zhenhua's Academic Thought was established in 2018 at Zhonghua Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Medical Center. The studio is dedicated to promoting Li’s academic achievements and medical practices, and focuses on solving challenging diseases and improving clinical research models.
The team at the studio includes his son Li Zhengsheng, daughter Li Lanfeng, and students Zhang Zhengjie and Guo Wen. They continue to treat a wide range of conditions, including digestive disorders, chronic illnesses, and more, and are available for consultations at Zhonghua Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Medical Center.
